That's Craig, Daniel Craig...say what?!
Published on October 12, 2005 By foreverserenity In Entertainment
Daniel Craig is the new James Bond, according to the British newspapers. Another shocker, he's blonde. The first blonde to be a 007. First of all I didn't even hear his name mentioned as being considered for the role of James Bond. I wrote about my favorite Bond in an article some time ago. The popular choice (by some JUsers) for the role from the four names that was being considered was Clive Owens. Here's a link to that article. Link

Here's an excerpt about Daniel Craig:

A versatile performer, Craig was named British actor of the year by the London Film Critics Circle earlier this year for his role in the Ian McEwan thriller 'Enduring Love'.

In 2004, daniel Craig played a cocaine dealer in Matthew Vaughn's gangster thriller 'Layer Cake' and poet Ted Hughes, opposite Gwyneth Paltrow, in 'Sylvia'.

Daniel Craig was born Chester in 1968. Craig grew up in Liverpool and trained at London's National Youth Theatre and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Fellow students included Ewan McGregor and Joseph Fiennes.

It was a BBC BBC Two series called Our Friends in the North in 1996 that launched Daniel Craig's career. Elizabeth and The Trench earned him critical accalim.

In 2001, Daniel played ex-boyfriend to Angelina Jolie's Lara Croft in Tomb Raider. he also had a much applauded performance in Sam Mendes' Road to Perdition playing Paul Newman's psychotic son.

Daniel Craig's most recent noted film has been The Mother, in which Craig played the lover of his girlfriend's 64-year-old mother.

He has been offered a three film deal which will pay him 15 Million pounds. I do remember Daniel though, as Laura Croft's boyfriend. He was alright in that role and cute too. I don't know if I see him as James Bond yet, but I guess he'll have to prove himself won't he?

Will he (Craig) become the least favorite Bond like Timothy Dalton? Or will he become the best of the lot? Only time will tell.

Yea to Diana Riggs.  If he had to, I guess that was not a bad choice.

-- Another shocker, he's blonde. The first blonde to be a 007--

The name's Blonde. James Blonde.

--Will he (Craig) become the least favorite Bond like Timothy Dalton? Or will he become the best of the lot? Only time will tell.--

You should say he could become the best of the replacements, since Sean Connery was the one and only Bond.

--Least favorite?  No, that is George Lazenby.--

There could've been a worst Bond than even him. Ever see James Brolin's screen test for Bond?

--In Her Majesty's Secret Service.  He was also the only Bond to get married, however briefly.--

He was actually very well equipped to get married. He had a license to kill. j/k

--I was hoping for hugh jackman.--

When Locamama says that she don't mean when it comes to playing Bond, she was hoping for Hugh Jackman. She means it like she says it SHE'S hoping for Hugh Jackman.

He's really undefeated isn't he?! He was actually the best as a Bond! Brosnan a close second!

Ever see James Brolin's screen test for Bond?

No, was it that bad?

She means it like she says it SHE'S hoping for Hugh Jackman.

Hahaha...wanna get him for her?!

Interesting that David Niven is the "forgotten Bond" because David Craig's firs tmovie is going to be (guess what?) "Casino Royale".

I think I'll boycott this one on principle (OK, the nearest movie theater's 40 miles away, so boycotting it's not that hard, but if I say I'm boycotting it, it looks better on paper...lol)
